Position:                    Lettings Negotiator

Reports to:                Lettings Manager



The successful applicant will be required to have excellent communication skills, responding to all enquiries, making appointments and taking a pro active approach to generating new business. Working on own initiative, maintaining client relationships, providing feedback and handling the letting and management of residential property.



The key duties of the post are as follows:-

General Duties

  • Telephone calls to and from clients, tenants and contractors
  • Maintain client folders managed and let only
  • Arrange viewings
  • Reference prospective tenants via Van Mildert
  • Register applicants on Tenancy Deposit Scheme

Vebra Software

  • Updating property lists
  • Updating mailing list on Vebra
  • Updating Window cards and property details
  • Property matches on Vebra

CFP Software

  • Input clients and tenants details into lettings package
  • Notifying utility companies and council tax office with new tenants details
  • Create inventories and take meter readings
  • Liaise with tenants for Property Inspections
  • Arrange annual gas and electrical safety check



37.5 hours per week

Saturday – 9am to 1pm (On a rota basis)

Salary Negotiable dependent on experience

Qualifications / Knowledge And Experience
E – Experience as a sales negotiator/working in estate agency

E – Educated to GCSE level including English and Maths

E – Is computer literate and as good knowledge of MS Office

D – Working within an office environment

E – Hold a driving licence and use of car
