Joplings can offer a building survey to suit your needs and budget. We understand buying a house is an expensive process; however it is important to know you are buying a property with no major problems.
We offer three levels of building surveys, the basic survey, RICS Homebuyer Report and full building survey.
All the surveys will aim to pick up the major defects relating to dampness, timber decay and structural movement. The condition of the main elements of the property will be commented upon.
The basic survey will cost from £225 + VAT. The RICS Homebuyer Report will cost from £325 + VAT and the full building survey from £475 + VAT.
We can also comment upon the purchase price agreed for the property to give you peace of mind you are paying the market value in the current market.
If there are issues you would like to look at specifically we can make a note of this before the survey and comment upon these within our verbal and written report.
We can also provide you with design and construction advice if you plan to carry out an extension, loft conversion, or internal alterations to the property you are buying.
We contact you shortly after we carry out the survey to provide you with our initial feedback and findings of the survey. The written report will follow approximately 5 days later.
